Ida Ridge

This photo of the Ida Ridge is typical of Rocky's incredible alpine tundra - gently rolling slopes that abruptly end in dramatic east-facing cliffs and cirques. I was lucky to capture this image after an early-fall thunderstorm broke up over Forest Canyon area, just as the setting sun began to bath the landscape.
